Blair turns his guns on Scotland

Headline should have been 'Blair turns his guns on Scotland' rather than Salmond effectively he is saying we are incapable of running our own affairs which is absurd when many small countries are out performing the UK. As for his figures, I don't believe a word.
The yearly GERS reports are the biggest work of fiction since Harry Potter, we'll be able to save a few quid on unnecessary wars in Iraq and the new generation of trident for a start.

The Labour Government lied about our prospects in the 70's as has been conclusively proved so why on earth should we believe them now?
Dear Tony,
You ask why we want independence, the reasons are simple, we want our own voice in world events and we want your malign influence removed from our country.

Your scaremongering about ID cards and blatant lies that they will help against terrorism are pathetic particularly when your own Home Office admits that this is completely untrue.
Your foreign policy which appears to consist of sucking up to George Bush and having an 'empire by proxy' is frankly sad and pathetic, and dangerous.

YOU have ignored international law by declaring war on Iraq with the US and without the backing of the security council.
YOU have backed Israel in their murder if numerous suspects and their families and anyone who lives in the same tower block by backing the US at every turn who fund their government.
YOU have undermined politics by changing your party to a pale shadow of the hated Conservative party. Your legacy will be two parties of the centre right who are indistinguishable from each other, just like in the US.
YOU have kept the undemocratic House of Lords and have even sold peerages to raise money as your friend Frank Field has admitted.

The people who built the once proud Labour party must be turning in their graves.
Your pal Jack Straw has let the cat out of the bag, England enjoys an amplified position in the world because of the UK, but that amplified position comes at a price, the rights of Scotland and Wales to an international voice.
We want out of this dis-united farce of a kingdom and we want out now.
Joe Middleton
