SIP and CPS back Independence First

Scottish Independence Party and Communist Party of Scotland support Independence First Campaign
The Scottish Independence Party (SIP) were amongst the first organisations to declare their support for Independence First's referendum campaign, however recently they have provided IF with a further message of support:
"The Scottish Independence Party fully supports the Independence First campaign. Independence First can be a great vehicle for uniting all pro-independence supporters regardless of their other views into one powerful voice focused on a clear, democratic and reasonable goal."
SIP is also going to send a delegation along to Independence First's AGM and has invited Independence First to attend their next meeting. They are also going to encourage SIP members to join IF and the new IF forum 'indyfirst'.
The Communist Party of Scotland (CPS) have also backed Independence First. Joe Middleton, Independence First Press Officer recently attended and spoke at a national council meeting of the CPS.
In a subsequent letter from the CPS their national Secretary, Eric Canning writes:
"Thank you for attending our National Council meeting... we found ourselves in complete agreement with your aims and greatly heartened to know that so many in Scotland are coming forward to support and work for the principle of Scottish Independence."
"We, therefore give our full support to the aims of Independence First - as we do to the Independence Convention - and are prepared to participate and help in any way we can."
Mr Middleton commented:
"When I spoke at their meeting I was very encouraged by the CPS's strong support for the Scottish independence cause. Independence First welcomes their support, and the support of the SIP, and we look forward to working together in the future."
