INDEPENDENCE DAY ON MOUND

INDEPENDENCE First, the grassroots campaign for a referendum on
Scottish independence, will officially launch its Edinburgh branch on
Sunday.

Publisher and author Kevin Williamson will chair the meeting at The
Wash bar on The Mound at 3pm.

Speakers will include Bill Wilson of the Scottish National Party, Alan
McCombes of the Scottish Socialist Party, Eric Canning of the
Communist Party of Scotland and former MSP Lloyd Quinan.

Spokesman Joe Middleton said: "This meeting is for everyone who
supports Scottish independence."
